Ebony Sea

A recent post (Space Is Dark) sort of ties in to my short story series, Ebony Sea. Ebony Sea, dark ocean, the blackness of space . . . get it?

The series starts with the book Ebony Sea: Origins, available on Amazon or at the Wagonbridge Publishing website. Unlike some stories (X-Men, Star Wars, etc.) I decided to start with the Origins of the main characters in the larger Ebony Sea series. So far there’s not much more published, though ES:1 has a few episodes available on Kindle, starting with Saving Cayn.

It’s a story line based in space during an interstellar war between Earth and a group of colonies. The leading force of the confederation against Earth is Kio Otmitter. The title “kio” designates the combination of mayor, planetary governor, and corporate owner. But all that’s in ES:1. Origins tells the story of the main characters.

Lifepod is about Marc, who ejects from a cruise liner being destroyed by the Wantis.

Recovery details how a trading ship owner finds Marc, and spreads the word of the Wanti attack.

Colony Lost tells about a military scouting mission to find out why a colony stopped communicating.

The Closet is about a Marine who gets trapped in a panic room when Earth tries to evacuate a colony.

Gray Four is a fighter pilot (yes, in space) based on the carrier supporting the evacuation.

To Mars and Back takes place just as the Wantis kick off a sneak attack on Earth.

There’s a bonus story in the collection, not available separately. If you happen to know me personally, I can set you up with a second bonus story that will eventually kick off ES:1. More about ES:1 tomorrow.
